64th Night of Prayer for Vocations
A group of young people from our boarders and some lay outsiders gathered at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 5, 2017 in the elementary hall, Don Bosco Teuk Thla for the Holy Mass presided by Bishop Olivier Schmitthaeusler and concelebrated by five priests. After the Mass, the monstrance was carried by the Bishop in a procession through the pathway leading to the Chapel where the Eucharistic Adoration was to be held. Other groups of young people as well as our staff, volunteers and the Sisters came over and pray by turns all throughout the vigil. It culminated the next day at 6:00 a.m. with a Eucharistic Celebration by Fr. Francois Xavier.
What touched everyone during this period of devotional watching was the inner peace and silence of this moment and the sharing of Sr. Blanchi Sambrea at the start of the prayer vigil. She shared the faith experience of her family, a true-to-life story of the “Miraculous Bible” which showed tangibly that God is love, life and light.
