To experience and share the life of the mission in Myanmar
On the month of July 26, 2018 the
group of VIDES Korea guided by Sr. Maria Kim and three
Salesian Sisters and 24 young peoples from South Korea reached St. Mary
Mazzarello Community, Anisakan, Myanmar. They stayed for five days “To
experience and share the life of the mission in Myanmar.”
They did various activities with
the grils and teachers from the Human Promotion and Vocational Training Center
such as “Decorating bags, making bracelets, and teaching them dental care in
particular how to brush teeth”, . They also animated the
Kindergarten kids of level 1, 2 and 3. They were
mainly “Playing games, reading pictures' story books,coloring and flowers
making and the mural painting with the kids”.
They visited ten poor families
near Anisakan. They also distributed love parcel for each family. They listened
their stories and encouraged them, gave them hope and assured them of their
prayers. The families were touched and appreciated their acts of love.
On 28th July, 2018
they did likewise with the girl of the Human Promotion Center at Blessed Maria
Romero Community in Pyin Oo Lwin. The girls were happy, joyful and actively
participated in all the activities. They appreciated and admired them for their
joyful witness of the Salesian Spirit.
