“It is time of Missio Ad Gentes”

Indeed, it is time to rekindle “Missio ad Gentes” among the missionaries of Cambodia-Myanmar Province. This rekindling the flame of missionary spirit is made possible by Sr. Alaide Deretti, General Councilor for the Missions, who made herself available to give an online conference to the Sisters as they prepare for the celebration of the World Mission Sunday on October 18.

All the missionaries are gathered at the Provincial House while the Animators and Equipe Coordinators of Myanmar joined the conference online. After Sr. Alaide’s inspiring talk, the Sisters are given the opportunity to share their resonances of her conference.

It is a timely encounter, a very encouraging one that reminded the Sisters once more that we are all “called to be missionary-disciples in the daily bringing the joy of the Gospel and witnessing with passion and trust God’s tenderness to all the people.” Each one returned to her community with a renewed commitment to be generous in saying: “Here I am, send me!”
