The Aspirants and Observers hold a three-day retreat in Anisakan
The 16 Aspirants
and observers gathered together in St. Mary Domenica Mazzarello Community,
Anisakan from 13-15 November, 2016.
The theme of the
retreat is taken from the Prophet Isaiah 6:8 “Here I am, send me!”. The three
inspiring retreat days were guided by Fr. John Hlwan Moe Naing from the Diocese
of Pathein of Myanmar. He distributed the three days with these themes:
Selfishness is the enemy of inner peace, Faithfulness in little things will
make you a Saint and God’s mercy is the heartbeat of the Gospel. With these
topics he was able to lead the young girls who are inspiring to give themselves
generously towards greater freedom in going out of themselves to serve God in
others especially in the young.
Sr. Agatha Nant
Myint Kyi and Sr. Elizabeth Phyu Phyu Aung guided these girls to know and love
Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello better with their life experiences. They were
able to share with the retreatants of how two Salesian Saints try to relate
with God in their ordinary life experiences and grow in their spiritual and
Salesian journey. Sr. Veronica had strengthened their human formation as she
share with them about what maturity means and the 10 commandments of
leadership.
All the aspirants
and observers are happy for the experience lived in silent and recollection.
They like to be bearers of God’s loving mercy as they answer to God with one
voice “Here I am, send me!”
