SR. VILMA TALLONE VISITS MARY OUR HELP PROVINCE (CMY)

The much-awaited visit of Sr. Vilma Tallone, General Administrator of the Institute, to Cambodia – Myanmar Province came into reality from April 5 – 16. Days before the celebration of Khmer New Year in Cambodia, she was warmly welcomed in the different

FMA schools in Phnom Penh and Battambang where she had a glimpse of the Cambodian culture through their presentation.

In Myanmar, caught in the midst of the Annual Thingyan Festival commonly called the Water Festival, Sr. Vilma took time to visit the 5 communities in Yangon as well as in Mandalay Division.

Sr. Vilma’s visit in both countries culminated with an encounter with the Sisters challenging each one to live the vow of poverty as a choice in freedom. Moreover, she also encouraged them to live it with greater sense of responsibility.

Her visit, though brief, left significant indications and orientations which are of help in the journey of the Province.
